Dear TowardEX Customer:

TowardEX has scheduled a maintenance to relocate certain Internet access customers
connected to our network using Gigabit Ethernet interfaces to a new set of equipment
at our 1 Summer Street (Boston, MA) datacenter. The maintenance window is scheduled
to commence at 6:20 AM EDT (10:20 AM GMT) on Friday July 11th, 2008 and last until
7:00 AM EDT (11:00 AM GMT).

Affected Customers
------------------

Internet access customers connected to TowardEX network using Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
in Metro WAN load zones and 1 Summer Street datacenter are affected. Customers that are
connected using other means such as 10Mb/100Mb Ethernet or serial interfaces are not
affected by this maintenance.

EasyColo colocation customers are NOT affected by this maintenance activity.

To be more specific, the following circuit ID ranges are affected. If your circuit ID
with TowardEX falls under the range listed below, you will be affected by this maintenance:

Datacenter on-net customers affected circuit ID ranges:
 - 28/EEXQ/221000/MB1 through 28/EEXQ/221012/MB1
 - 28/FCXQ/150000/MB1 through 28/FCXQ/196930/MB1
 - 28/KFEQ/150000/MB1 through 28/KFEQ/190000/MB1

Metro Ethernet Fiber-to-the-Premise / Optical WAN customers (Load Zones - EC_Mass, ES_Mass, WC3_Mass)
affected circuit ID ranges:
 - 28/KFEQ/295000/RN/1 through 28/KFEQ/295200/RN/1
 - 28/KFEQ/275000/VZ/1 through 28/KFEQ/275400/VZ/1
 - 28/KFLQ/276000/VZ/1 through 28/KFLQ/276005/VZ/1
 - 28/KFEQ/280000/EX/1 through 28/KFEQ/280100/EX/1

Service Impact and Mitigation
-----------------------------

Affected customers may experience downtime or service interruption for up to 5 minutes
during the scheduled maintenance window.

Customers with redundant port connection will not experience downtime, however will
notice that their primary circuit's BGP session will be down while secondary circuit takes
the load during maintenance window.

If you are unable to connect or having problems for an extended period of time after the
maintenance event, please contact 1-617-459-4051 extension 500.

Purpose / Description of the Scheduled Maintenance
--------------------------------------------------

The purpose of this scheduled maintenance is to migrate Gigabit Ethernet customer interfaces,
both physical and tagged frame fiber-to-the-premise interfaces to a new Juniper Networks
layer 3 switch, away from existing Cisco Catalyst 6500 core switch devices.

The goal of this maintenance activity is to improve fault tolerance and service resiliency to
these affected customers in the event of a network outage at the core segment.

TowardEX is providing this notification so that you can determine if business
continuity preparations are necessary. We regret any inconvenience this
maintenance activity may cause you or your organization. As usual, we are
committed to keeping you informed about the status of maintenance activities
affecting your service reliability.

Important Notice to E-mail Recipients: Notice sent as a customer courtesy only
