[OCCAID] introducing myself

hello,

my name is eric côté (apologies for the utf-8 if it makes your
terminal go wonky). i'm currently 32, married, and an avid linux user
/ sysadmin for about 2 years, 3 in march. i currently run the services
(backend stuff) for nuit.ca and kisikew.org, with the connectivity
provided by a very clued regional ISP here.

my interests vary from philosophy, the arts (mostly drawing, painting,
pottery/ceramics, and computer graphics), crafts of various sorts, to
hard core techie/geeky stuff ;), and the sciences. a bit more of

i go by simonrvn on IRC, and simon raven on the rest of the 'net (also
my preferred name, although not legal, i feel "simon" is more
suited to me, as it mean "left handed" and "raven" for various
personal / spiritual reasons).

main reason i joined is because i'm always looking for something new
to learn, as i love to learn, and i am mostly self-taught in many 
domains, including linux (with a lot of RTFMing and asking questions
on mailing lists and IRC :), and have little formal education per se,
so i see this as a way to learn more things, and meet more people :).
