Early decom process to migrate major carrier interconnections in ewr2 was started this week, an update as follows.
- NTT-Verio tunnel peering at ar1.ewr2 is decommissioned and upgraded to native peering in Ashburn.
- Sprint tunnel peering is ready for move to Newark router in a couple weeks.
- AT&T peering and mpf connects in ewr2 need migration, but hasn't been planned yet, probably
not until 1st or 2nd week of January.
- OSPF interface for ar1.ewr2 at Newark site is reserved for upcoming thinktel Toronto site in 151 front st.
Aiming to be ready for final ewr2 decom process to commence by beginning of Feb.
