Over the next five to seven days, OCCAID engineering will be conducting non
service affecting network maintenance in London, UK (node code: LHR, EGTT).
The objective goal of this maintenance is to add additional capacity in London
POP counter the recent stability problems on our netowrk.
During the maintenance window, engineering from OCCAID and Kewlio.net will be
installing a second core router node (cr2.lhr1.uk.occaid.net) in London
Docklands POP.
Inter-POP backbone connections will be relocated to spread out over both cr1
and cr2 routers to enhance redundancy. In addition, one of the two LINX
connections (224.0/23) will be relocated to cr2.
There are no expected outages as a result of this maintenance, however peering
at London will be affected during the maintenance period.
